Welcome to my first series of articles on… I had plenty of topics to choose from the increasing suicide rate, the Conflicker C virus, so I decided to do my first article on what everyone is doing these days…
Living on the cheap.
I know with some of you, it began with a cut in pay, or perhaps you lost your job. But anyway, we are all in the same boat, trying to get what we can for as little as we can.
Lets start on what most of us spend most of our cash on FOOD. It does not involve eating Mac and Cheese 7 times a week either. I would suggest you check out the cheaper food stores such as Aldi, Food 4 Less, Save A Lot and others. You can save as much as 30% by just changing stores, then there are those local fruit markets you sometimes see ads for. I get most of my meat and fruit at those types of stores. What if I told you on average you can get meat and fruit for sometimes as much as half at what you pay in the local grocery store chains…sometimes even cheaper.
Then there is what do you cut out, the main topic on the local news is insurance. Car insurance is a must, but liability is the cheapest. Car Repairs, try those auto repair schools, the big secret with them is they are always looking for cars for their students to repair and all you pay for is parts. Unlike most garages, the work is certified by the teachers with more experiance than any auto body shop. Health, as in medical can be taken care of by if in your area county. Most if not all have a sliding scale of payments. Entertainment, at least in my city they have these movies they pay in most area parks at night and best of all they are FREE. Pick the right film and the right night it too can lead to a perfect night of romance. I would also suggest a picnic with that foodnetwork.com has some easy recipes. One word of advice, becareful of food poisoning. Foam ice chests are the cheapest, if you can’t afford a anything more. No alcohal please, you can get arrested, as all parks alcohal in illegal. Also check out your local library at least where I live our library homepage has tons of stuff completely for free. Books, movies, short films, speaking of films check out archive.org you will not believe what films and other stuff you will find there…all of which is FREE.
One last thing wireless service I can reccomend one that is cheaper than any one else that is Cricket Wireless mycricket.com they have plans which by the way include unlimited mintues starting at just $30
