You might recall back in 2005 when the city of New London, imposed eminent domain to clear acres of land of which sat many private homes all for a private development, and of how the people who owned those
homes brought up a lawsuit against the City of New London and of how this case went all the way to the Supreme Court and of how New London won.

Call this a case of karma or whatever else you like as it seems both Pfizer (Who originally wanted the land to expand, and a development the city wanted to build) and the economy has done the city of New London in. It seems the true story is this New London wanted Pfizer to come to their city and build a plant, to guarantee this New London gave Pfizer a 5 year break on taxes. Now since the economy has gone bad and the tax break has set to expire soon. It now seems Pfizer is leaving New London forever, and get this the city has been playing the property taxes on the land all this time. I hate to see someone get it, but New London deserves this. Remember folks there is an old saying ‘You reap what you sew’, in other words you get want you deserve.
