Chinese New Year

It might seem strange to even post anything celebrating Chinese New Year in a furry blog. Especially the only connection I ever had is watching one of the local dragon dances. Which I admit is a fun sight to see. Given that this calendar uses 12 different animals, maybe you can see why I decided to celebrate it, as since nearly all of them are used as fursonias. You might call it my excuse on my part to feature furry art for that animal for the entire month of February, and Feb 3rd of this year just happens to start the year of the Rabbit. So every furry art image I will post this month will feature rabbits I hope you will enjoy what I post.

Lastly as a special Valentines Day gift to my loyal readers. On Valentine’s Day I am going to post a section furry computer wallpaper. Yes, computer wallpaper. I admit even my collection of this is rather small. But it does include some rather unique images.

Fox shoots hunter

A wounded fox shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger on the hunter’s gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of the rifle.

The unnamed hunter, who had approached the fox after wounding it from a distance, was in hospital with a leg wound, while the fox made its escape, media said on Thursday, citing prosecutors from the Grodno region.

“The animal fiercely resisted and in the struggle accidentally pulled the trigger with its paw,” one prosecutor was quoted as saying.

Fox-hunting is popular in the picturesque farming region of northwestern Belarus which borders Poland.

A very unique protest

2 thumbs way up to Nik Ramos who is a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Who found a way to pay for his tuition and protest the rising cost of a good education at the same them when he paid for this coming semester in $1 bills, in fact over 14,000 of them, 33.3 pounds of them. Btw it took the staff there over 4 hours to count them.

Give radio a chance

I know what your thinking radio is radio either talk or music. But when I talk of radio I think entertainment programs such as comedy, drama, or even scifi. Of course most of these programs are more than fifty years old but they do hold up and more than to any one older. I admit I got hooked on those type of radio programs back when I still was just a kid when on Saturday afternoons when a local radio host would play the Jack Benny Show, Fred Allen, Suspense, and The Shadow I know these shows well and for the most part they are free for download on Archive.org But given the fact most of you don’t even have a clue what I am talking about. Ever heard of Ray Bradbury? Well he did this radio program back in 1984 were 13 of his greatest stories were done as half hour radio programs and they are quite excellent Bradbury 13 the series was called. And given so many pay for music and audio books what can be better than free. Also given the fact that if you can see this you can play a MP3 file. Bradbury 13 is the best for an introduction to what radio was, you can either listen to those shows on the site or do a right click download when your own the list of episodes. Either way it could not be any easier and what is better than free after all.
