Cons and Blogs
In an effort I hoped to satisfy a lot of complaints I seen my my local con’s Facebook page. I decided to ask if anyone behind the scenes would be interested in letting us know what really goes on. I don’t mean and never have meant this to be a rip at something I admit I love, namely fur cons.
Lets say I got 2 offers and the powers that be shut it down. Am I mad, am I about to do a fowl language ridden rant. Of course NO, if anyone of you have read my blog for any length of time you know I just don’t do that sort of thing.
Ever since I started Yiffy Times 5 years ago…almost, I wanted everything to be honest. No slanted opinions, no pressure from anyone, Hell I even lost an internet buddy over my opinion on gun control. But there are those and apparently they must be more common than I think they are. Fur Cons don’t want any bad press and they go through an extra ordinary effort to not only keep things so that it’s guests are happy. If there is a single problem it’s solved right on the spot. If there are problems they share that info with other nearby cons. I didn’t know they share a data base of dishonest dealers and artists until a friend told me. You see a so called furry artist ripped him off. It seemed that artist had already been permanently banned, all because of other complaints.
Others may want to rip and tare, I just want to infom,
That is just me…
Being Furry In A Non-Furry World
Reality Check
Reaching for the stars is a good thing, because none of us should be held back by either what others say, or our own self doubts. Which is something I now live by, as this year will include such things as Furry Laser Tag, and my 1st anime convention, not to forget my 2nd fur con when I head back to Midwest Furfest for the second time.
But what I am talking about are those like a good friend who btw is a also a pastor of a very small church which holds it’s meetings in a grade school auditorium. He has had someone videoing his sermons for months now. With always the talk that they will be edited and placed on You Tube which so far hasn’t happened. Now he wants to get an expensive camcorder to stream his sermons online. Which is something not only his church, but he or anyone else could afford. But really that isn’t the biggest problem although the school they use has wifi it’s encrypted and they have loads of problems in the past trying to use it to show sometimes ironically You Tube vids. Also keep in mind they only get 30 or so to even go to service every Sunday.
Do I even have to say it, Reality Check!!!
Something to Think About
I was with a group of people last night and we were talking about our mutual problems, and possible solutions. When I brought up I went to a fur con last year, interesting 5 out of the 6 people there, instantly thought about the sexual side of the fandom, while 1 hadn’t a clue what furries are.

Yiffy also Means Fine Furniture
I was at a furmeet last night when I heard of Yiffy.com No it’s not a fake site it’s real, it’s also a company that makes furniture
