This past Saturday I went to Laser Quest the local laser tag place, keep in mind I never been to any laser tag place before and went at possibly the worse time and you know what I still had fun.

Once I enter I went to what they label as

Phase 1 Check In

That is where you pay your admission, and they gave me on this day a blue card. Which is for the next Phase

Phase 2 Code Name Registration

This is where you tell them what name you like to use and they exchange that blue card of mine for a blue stick with a magnetic sensor embedded in it which is for the next phase.

Phase 3 Briefing Room

It’s actually more than that, it’s where they what you need to do with that blue plastic stick and read aloud the rules. After which you head in the next room where you get these vests where are located the sensors which detect hits and the laser gun. This where the fun starts once you put on that vest, the stick you see actives everything. Then you head on in to the large room with a 2 tier maze and for the next half hour you start shooting the hell at one another.

The game I was apart of had 4 adults including myself and 16 kids all around the same age who at times ganged up on me. Can anyone say Custard’s Last Stand. That is the way I felt, which quickly turned in to feeling like a kid again playing tag.

Believe me that 30 mintues goes by fast, and if your not in the greatest of shape like me. You will be glad it’s over, I fully admit it everyone I was tired!!! Frankly all I did was want to sit down after I returned my vest to it’s resting place.

Phase 4 Getting Your Own Personalized Score

But 1st it appears on a screen…being out numbered I was actually delighted to come in 10th. More like shock, but I really was 10th. Later when a staff member came out with the score sheet I kept mine as a souvenir. A personal triumph if you will.

So let me answer the BIG question will I be back…YES!! I also had a suggestion for all of you like me who are not in the greatest of shape and know they need exercise. Stick with laser tag, I swear I lost weight even though it was only a half hour.

Serious I been thinking about doing my own podcast, and I have been looking in to the ups and downs of podcasting and by accident I found a site if your interested host furry podcast the site id called Podbean all you need to do is search for furry and you find all 27 of them.

I feel a little sad today that A Fursuiters World will disappear off the internet over this weekend. It’s meteoric rise on You Tube was to say the least remarkable. Going from almost unheard of to having nearly a 1,000 subscribers in a few short months to say the least was remarkable. This unnamed fursuiting couple who hosted it. Were everything you could want in a show that covered a topic that us non-fursuiters (I include myself in this) were unaware of the problems fursuiters have. Namely blindspots, overheating, and dehydration just to do something they love is down right remarkable.

One could guess as to way they pulled their program off of You Tube. Anything from the everyday problems most couples face all the way too much fame, far too soon.

They have been promoting Fursuit Nation, more on that when there is something posted.

I for one wish them well, and success in whatever they do. I just hope they don’t disappear from the fandom, as we will loose 2 of the best examples of what a true furry can be.
