I simply posed that same question to a group on Facebook and the overwhelming answer is YES. I read reports which say a majority of furries are between the ages of 17 to 27. But on the other hand I have talked to furries that were twice that age and even older. In fact the oldest furry I talked to date was 73. To me anyway there seems to be 2 groups of furries the age difference being around 30. Like there is in society in general, in other times you may not have the same taste in music or what you think of is fun. Except for the one thing we all have in common which is obvious.

Is there any solution? Unless both sides make an effort, it just isn’t going to happen. It’s like a couple of members of my Furmeet. There are some who I ever heard that rarely speak, I put it down because they are shy. Me on the other hand I like to talk and it is because of my wide range in interests the young crowd finds what I have to say is even interesting. I even gone so far as to check out things they do such as Laser Tag…which is very fun btw. Just so I could get more involved, my last time out I came in 3rd in a field of 25. Btw that was only my 2nd time ever playing it. Not bad I would say so myself.

Beyond that I been thinking about starting a furry bowling event where I live. Even though there is an active furry group where I live there isn’t furry bowling in the city where I live, only one in a distant suburb, with iffy transit at best. My 2 biggest problems are that not only do I not know how to bowl, but to come up with a good name that will draw furs in.
