Introducing Tarpaw Furmeet by Matt Snoops

Anthrocon grew out of a series of hotel parties put on by Roger Wilbur in the 90s. Every con grows from an existing seed base.

The fragmented nature of the North Carolina groups has made amassing this critical mass this difficult to do. Since I moved to Raleigh in 2009, I’ve seen no less than three attempts at starting cons in the region–none of which came to fruition. Thus, I’m taking a “back to basics” approach, looking at what made strong events succeed.
TL;DR: Let’s have a furry party. 🙂

I’ve booked the hall, I’ve booked a DJ, I’ve talked to pizza places. I’m putting the event structure in place. It’s time to see if enough people will attend. I’ve set the bar for 125. If we get that, I’ll put on another party in the spring. If that party meets its goal, I’ll put on a third. If the third one succeeds (in other words, we’ve built a base of consistent attendees up to think bigger), it’ll be time to build the board of directors, put together the paperwork, and sign a hotel contract for a multi-day con.

…but it all begins with this first event.

So join us in Raleigh in four weeks for a night of furries and fun that we hope will grow into a regional con by 2018! Hope to see everyone there!

Furplay Halloween Issue 6

furplay6-0001

Furplay Halloween issue really good as over half the issue is dedicated to that day. What you do get is part 4 of Reign of The Rat. In this a female mouse gets turned into a vampire, beyond that I am going to have to find the next issue. You also get a selection of good quality furry porn, a 2nd furry comic called “Coven A’ My House” Which I found quite funny, the story is about a coven of witches who invade this guy’s home in order to sacrifice him, but instead want to have sex with him.

It is worth checking out HERE
