Update
A week ago today I was hit by a car, and spent 2 days in the hospital. They tell me I had a concussion, and there is a good portion of that day missing from my memory. But I survived, in pain but still I survived. You might notice for a while I haven’t been checking other furry sites. Mainly because it actually hurts my shoulder to place my arm on my own desk. So I will be posting what I can, I found this great series “Furries in the Media” by Auberguine on YouTube that shows how furries are portrayed in the media. Sometimes we get the worse of it, others not so bad. It’s really a great series and I will be posting it starting today. If you like what you see be sure to head over to YouTube and give Auberguine a thumbs up.
Otherwise I am doing fine, getting better day by day. But still it will take time and I may have to postpone the new domain name until I feel better and I’ll let you know later.
Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus Shutting Down Forever
All of us, except for a few has been to the circus, and we remember it very fondly. But fast forward to today, can you even remember the last time you went? My answer would be no, as I can’t even remember. Really it isn’t the controversy over the elephants that shut down “The Greatest Show on Earth”. Even though the articles I have seen don’t mention this, I think it all comes down to money. Putting on a show like they do is really expensive, as a former circus employee reminded me recently. It’s not only traveling expenses, it’s locations, food, hotel stays, the list is literally endless, and if they don’t fill that arena for every show. They lose money that is a hardcore fact. Nothing can change that.
Call it a sign of the times, a relic of the past is no more like those old movie palaces you see some trying to save. That too sorry to say comes down to $$$.
