Mr. Wolf Goes to Washington: Day 2 The Accidental Furrest #1

My first day was a busy one after a 26-minute ride on the Metro AKA the subway.

My first stop was Madame Tussaud’s

A museum well known for its wax figures. To me, it was simply brilliant to see these historic and political figures along with celebrities. Beyond the 2D photos, I really will say if your excited about this place go, not interested you will be bored.

Stop # 2 Ford’s Theater

Since the theater was closed they have a museum which shows off that fateful day. Frankly, there isn’t much but it was FREE.

#3 Peterson House

Across the street from the Ford’s Theater. there isn’t much to see. Except for the stack of books, (more reproductions) showing how many books were written over Lincoln’s death. It’s 4 stories HIGH.

#4 Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum

A Fantastic place really loved the exhibits on human evolution, gems, and dinosaurs. Also home to the best salad I ever ate.

#5 Smithsonian Castle

What can I say I have been wanting to see this since I was a kid. Not much is there but a Gift Shop and Cafe. The building also holds the Smithsonian Offices. But it was so cool to be there.

#6 Washington Monument

Which reopened on the very day I was there. Didn’t go in and up the newly remodeled elevator turns out you need tickets and they give them out at 8:30 AM till gone. I may have to skip this one.

I was planning on dropping by the White House to possibly shake my fist in its general direction. But it turns out I couldn’t, it seems these days the area in front of the White House is closed. According to a local which is almost all of the time.
