Thanks to everyone involved Lackadaisy did something totally amazing

Lackadaisy and what has happened since the pilot dropped on YouTube has completely blown my mind. As of this posting only started 4 days ago and as of this post raised more than $820,000 with 27 days left of their campaign

Is it no wonder I got Queen – We Are The Champions playing in the background

The whole Lackadaisy Phenomenon took off the moment that pilot dropped on YouTube. Everything about it was nothing short of incredible. I said it before and I say it again, there are professional animated series that doesn’t look half as good as Lackadaisy!!!

I don’t think even they know, but in roughly 30 days I plan on sending a message to Lackadaisy’s creator Tracy Butler and find out

With the mind blowing number of views Lackadaisy – Pilot has, currently it’s 5.9 Million I reached out to Tracy J. Butler it’s creator to see what they had to say:

Hello – thanks for reaching out, and thanks for the kind comments too! Well, the crew and I are pretty astonished by the reaction. We’re also pretty excited! The director, executive producer and I are presently looking for ways to make more Lackadaisy animation. We’d like to do a full series, but if we can’t secure the resources for that, we’ll likely continue on making smaller episode independently with crowd funding.

Editor: I for one would like to see this happen.

I have never seen anything like this before, even including some episodes of both streaming services and network series that have wound up on YouTube. Nothing has ever been like this before, as of this post 5.7 Million views in just 10 days. Not Picard, The Owl House or even Mandalorian drop has ever done this well.

LACKADAISY keeps hitting viewer milestones before I can figure out how to properly express my thanks to the crew. I’m just eternally grateful for the skill, time, love and care you all put into this project. (@NewtWorks and I enlisted my dear friend Candy to do a crew portrait)

Making the pilot required some people having an unreasonable amount of faith in the production while the world seemed on fire around us. I’m the luckiest person in the world for having been graced with their company throughout.
