Recently I picked up a copy of Wolfy The Incredible Secret (2013), from the library only because my fursona is a wolf and I wanted to see what they did with it. the plot is essentially this, Wolfy the wolf and Tom the rabbit, friends since they were little, travel to the the land of the wolves to find Wolfy’s mother, who might just be a princess. Their friendship is tested when they arrive in the middle of the meat-eaters festival, and Tom is eyed as a main course..and oh my this film is incredible. It may start out as your standard man looking for his princess mother. Then add in tons of palace intrigue, a plot to kill Wolfy, and The Spirit of the Forest wanting make things right. Puts in in a league of it’s own. I don’t want to post any spoilers here, but it does have a happy ending. I give it 9/10

Furries – An Inside Look (2011)

With the release of Fursonas I thought it would be interesting to look back at the 1st Real Documentary on the Furry Fandom featuring interviews with “Thibby”, “Daisuke”, “LeoAngelo”, Douglas “Giza” Muth, Matt “2 Gryphon” Davis, Bryan “Smash” Manternach, and finally Dr. Samuel “Uncle Kage” Conway. Produced by Curt Pehrson. Is surprisingly a rather well balanced documentary on the fandom. All the interviews I found are honest and they actually talk about what they both like and dislike about the fandom. In open and frank discussion. Given my experience in the fandom, each topic of the fandom is given as much time, equal to the number who follow that aspect. I know that is a little confusing, what I mean is the joy the fandom brings to everyone is given the most time, while the stuff I won’t even talk about is given very little. But it is discussed, which is more important.

If your curious about a 5 year old documentary has to say on the fandom you can check it out here on both Vimeo and on You Tube.
