The Worst Box Office Disaster of all Time

Matthew McConaughey’s ‘The Sea of Trees’ Has Made Less Than $3,000 at the Box Office So Far and this film cost 25 Million to make. So is it that bad? Try when it was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival the audience booed. According to

Here is the plot Arthur Brennan is an American professor who travels to Japan in the midst of a personal crisis. As he wanders through a mysterious forest with a dark past, he experiences flashbacks of his fraught but loving relationship with his wife, Joan, and meets an enigmatic stranger, Takumi, who is lost and injured. Arthur devotes himself to saving Takumi and returning him home to safety, and the two embark on a spiritual, life-changing journey of friendship, discovery, and healing—one which may ultimately re-connect Arthur with his love for his wife.

Sounds bad, and based uppon weekend box office number it has done even worse. It doesn’t appear on any chart, and it expanded on the number of theatres and was available on VOD this weekened.

This has to be the worse preforming film in history.
