Rewilding: As farmland and villages are abandoned, forests, wolves and bears are returning to Europe

I will fully admit I didn’t know about Rewilding at first but now I fully support it. According to Rewilding is what happens when areas are abandoned such as this village in the Huesca Pyrenees.

It’s literally bringing back both wildlife and making the world greener in Spain alone from 1900 until now wildlife areas grew from just 8% of the entire country up until 25% and this will continue. The maps the site has are something to see. With all the news about the destruction of habitat, it is really nice to see countries actually doing something to reverse the trend.

‘I like to bring smiles to other people’: Furry nation mesmerizes with eclectic mix of costumes

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette recently posted this wonderful article on Anthrocon.

Focusing mainly on the fursuiters, and their reasons for doing so. But I think the best quote of the whole article is the following…

“I like to bring smiles to other people’s faces,” Abel Olson said of her participation in the parade. A 24-year-old seamstress from Illinois, her “fursona” is Lemon Lime — a green-and-white snow leopard with a lemon slice for a tail that children seem to love.
