Furry Broadcasting Network is No More

With that post on Twitter and Telegram FBN is no more, as of this posting their streams are down as well.

UPDATE FBN Issued the following statement

The sudden announcement about FBN closing is true.
The announcement has brought us attention, kind and unkind ones.

CEO ShadowLeRawr has been struggling to keep the project up and running, we started to see a decline in activity, staff members leaving due to future endeavors. 15 to just 2 members on staff
Our Tech Admin and our CEO Shadow.

Shadow made the executive decision to close the doors due to many other issues, Funding, activity, and music licensing.

Fbn got a way with licensing by having permission from the artists to allow us to play their music on PPR.

but due to lack of DJ Sets due us not being covered by ASCAP, BMI, SOCAN and SX witch was needed to allow us to have DJs on our station. (Current Rates would be $1000+ to be covered by all pros)

The next best thing we could do due to the combined issues
Is to close our doors and mark our time in Furry History.

Will we come back in the future? Maybe? Who knows time will tell.

And This

Shadow wanted to also say that he is sorry to everyone regardless the matter.

He’s going though a very rough patch right now due to this as FBN was his baby since 2015. FBN would be 6 years old Tomorrow

He doesn’t want to talk as some haters are also thinking this is a guilt trip to gain sudden attention. So If you know him personally reach out to him and give him hug.

Why Muppet Haunted Masion is the best thing The Muppets have done in decades

So having Disney+ I decided to give “Muppet Haunted Mansion” a try. Frankly I really didn’t expect much, as I have checked out a lot of previous Muppet productions, post Jim Henson. I will go on record and say a lot of what I saw, frankly I didn’t like. The only real standout was Muppet Treasure Island.

So you can see I expected it to be awful, but what changed my mind almost instantly was the way the Muppets interacted. Like they were longtime friends, which technically they are.

What has always worked for me with any Muppet production is an overall story, little character bits, a predictable but more often than not an unexpected ending. I know that sounds like a formula, which it is. The ones the Muppets have always used, but somehow lost to a degree when Jim Henson died. It did appear in Muppets Tonight to a point, a series I want to add isn’t on Disney+ yet, even though Disney produced it.

The overall story, the little character bits. I am very happy to say it all worked. Even when Gonzo and Pepe confront the ghosts, and they go into there own bit. Fozzie as a dead comic/ magician totally worked and best yet he was actually funny. Statler and Waldorf although in previous productions have been more than a bit OVERLY HEAVY with their criticisms which in my opinion has hurt what they were in, was happily toned down, to a point it was actually funny without being hurtful.

Spoiler Alert: That bit with Peppy and that husband killer was one of the best things about that production. It was downright brilliant!!!

So if your looking for a scale of how I feel about Muppets Haunted Mansion. A very solid 10 out of 10

Next Year ACFI Theme

Normally something like this would get a simple mention from me and that is it. But all it a combo of bad planning and extremely bad taste, as some of us have lost loved ones in the past 18 months or so including myself.

ACFI dropped this last night

Unless you read the followup post you would actually think that there con chair is really dead. I have this friend who almost sent flowers to them.

Then on top of this some 2 hours later they posted this

I know I am making more of this than I should. But really death is no joke to some of us. To me they just made this 2nd post and I would have been fine. But that 1st one — really bad taste ACFI
