It’s many tens of thousands of dollars to run it, with a lot of logistical nightmares, waste concerns, takes up valuable programming space, and also makes the hotel and con center and unions unhappy because they make extra money by selling us food and drinks.
For a con pushing 10k attendance numbers, it just wasn’t sustainable anymore.
