John Oliver Gets His Cupcake Bears
This all began a week earlier when on Last Week Tonight John Oliver did a piece on why Red Lobster was going under. All topped off by the news that the show bought the contents of an entire Red Lobster and was giving the entire audience cheese biscuits.
Apparently the owner of Deising’s Bakery was upset. Because they needed 2 pieces of equipment from said Red Lobster. But unfortunately not only did the show donate that equipment by the time the bakery contacted them. But that Red Lobster didn’t have said items.
So John Oliver offered them the equipment they wanted, under the condition he gets a cake bear with his face.

Philifur is a convention that will be held in Quezon City, Philippines on Aug 31 and Sept 1
This year’s theme is Y2K
To put that into USD that’s $7.67 to $102.21
Opening in 2022 as a 1 day event and repeated the following year. This is their 1st 2 day event, and as you can imagine the schedule is kind of lean
