The Brasil FurFest staff continues to carefully monitor the entire evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and its developments, in addition to being in contact with the Mercure Hotel and other furry co-brothers events in Brazil and abroad, discussing scenarios at each news for holding events this year.
We would like to clarify that, for now, the Brasil FurFest staff continues with the intention of holding the event on the previously announced dates: from July 16 to 18, at the Mercure Hotel, in Santos, SP.
We are aware of all the temporary restrictive measures taken by the city of Santos and the state of São Paulo to combat the spread of the disease.
Due to the start of the vaccination campaign and a possible improvement in the pandemic scenario in the coming months, the final decision on whether or not to hold Brasil FurFest 2021 will be made between the end of April and the beginning of May, when we will have a clearer scenario on the evolution of restrictive measures imposed by the São Paulo Plan.
Brasil FurFest at the Mercure Hotel can only occur if the Baixada Santista region is enabled in the blue phase of the São Paulo Plan. At the moment we are in the orange phase (it would be necessary to evolve to the yellow and green phases before reaching blue).
If there is no expectation of Baixada Santista to be enabled in the blue phase, the event at the hotel should be postponed again to a date at the end of the second half of this year. If this scenario is confirmed, on July 17, however, we would hold a new edition of the online event BFF Night, as in 2020.
Due to the moment of uncertainty, calls for drawings for the graphic material and decoration of the BFF 2021 and for the Furry Bazaar are suspended for the time being. All Brasil FurFest decisions will be made in accordance with the recommendations of doctors, the guidelines of the Government of the State of São Paulo, Ministry of Health and observing local laws and regulations on the subject. COMUNICADO BRASIL FURFEST 2021 – COVID-19
O staff da Brasil FurFest segue acompanhando atentamente toda a evolução da pandemia de Covid-19 e seus desdobramentos, além de estarmos em contato com o Hotel Mercure e com os outros eventos furry co-irmãos no Brasil e no exterior, discutindo a cada notícia cenários para a realização dos eventos neste ano.
Gostaríamos de esclarecer que, por enquanto, o staff da Brasil FurFest segue com a intenção de realizar o evento nas datas anteriormente anunciadas: de 16 a 18 de julho, no Mercure Hotel, em Santos, SP.
Estamos cientes de todas as medidas restritivas temporárias tomadas pela cidade de Santos e pelo estado de São Paulo para o combate a disseminação da doença.
Devido ao início da campanha de vacinação e uma possível melhora no cenário da pandemia nos próximos meses, a decisão final sobre a realização ou adiamento da Brasil FurFest 2021 será feita entre o final de abril e o início de maio, quando teremos um cenário mais claro sobre a evolução das medidas restritivas impostas pelo Plano São Paulo.
A Brasil FurFest no Hotel Mercure só poderá ocorrer se a região da Baixada Santista estiver habilitada na fase azul do Plano São Paulo. No momento estamos na fase laranja (faltaria evoluir para as fases amarela e verde antes de chegarmos a azul).
Caso não haja expectativa da Baixada Santista estar habilitada na fase azul, o evento no hotel deverá ser adiado novamente para uma data no final do segundo semestre deste ano. Se esse cenário se confirmar, na data de 17 de julho, no entanto, realizaríamos uma nova edição do evento online BFF Night, como em 2020.
Devido ao momento de indefinição, ficam suspensas, por enquanto, as convocações para desenhos para o material gráfico e decoração da BFF 2021 e para o Bazar Furry.
Todas as decisões da Brasil FurFest serão tomadas de acordo com as recomendações de médicos, das orientações do Governo do Estado de São Paulo, Ministério da Saúde e observando leis locais e determinações a respeito do tema.
