March 28, 2024 – Looking Back at FE 2024

Thank you to everyone aboard our journey Under The Sea for Furnal Equinox 2024!

This year, we wrangled 3,647 attendees, which is 309 more than last year. Out of our attendees, we spotted 1,520 fursuiters, which is 41% of attendees! Seeing continual growth at Furnal Equinox means seeing new faces in Toronto, which allows us to create unforgettable memories – not only for returning attendees but new attendees as well! Although we set attendance and fursuiter records for Furnal Equinox, we managed to break our most important record! 

For the 2024 rendition of Furnal Equinox, thanks to your help, we raised over $14,000 for our 2024 charity, Procyon Wildlife! Comparing this to last year’s $7,128, we nearly doubled our donation amount! So, while we put smiles on the faces of attendees, you all crushed our donation record! 

Attendees, you can expect a survey in your email inbox soon. It’s very important that you fill out this survey so we know what you loved about this year and how we can do better. Your feedback plays a major role in shaping our convention to fit everyone’s needs for years to come! 

Additionally, if you have a bit of spare time on your paws, we are always looking for more volunteers for our staff. You can find various openings for different departments here on our website. Come help Furnal Equinox thrive if you can! 

Furnal Equinox 2025 will take place from March 21st to the 23rd, and our theme is Monsters in Toronto! With that comes our Guests of Honor, Stephenie of the Silver Dragon and Monarobot! 

We’ll have more news about registration, hotels, and all other important information later this year as we prepare for Monsters in Toronto! 

Thanks to the help of 3,647 sailors, 1,520 of whom were dressed as animals, we raised over $12,000 for Procyon Wildlife! Stay tuned for our post-con blog as “Monsters In Toronto” Takeover in 2025: March 21st – 23rd!

Thank you so much for another wonderful weekend! This year for Tales of the Tavern we saw 3,338 attendees, over 60% more than the 2,026 attendees in 2022. We counted 1,381 fursuiters, and there were probably even more! We are eternally grateful for your continued support after several years without physical conventions and look forward to seeing those numbers continue to grow!

The next Furnal Equinox will take place March 15th-17th, 2024, and our theme is Under the Sea! We are extremely proud to announce our Guests of Honor: the Purrmaid queen herself, Kikidoodle; beloved fursuiter maker, SewingStuffs; bird and legendary musician, Avian Invasion!
