I know some have made it a big deal that MFF sometimes brings back a DJ from the year before. But not this year. I think they went out of their way to make it fair. I didn’t see one name from the 2022 list of DJs.

Here I am with everything well planned, I know how I am going to get there. I know roughly where I am going to eat and I anxious to go. But yet there are way more unknowns then I feel comfortable to even mentioning. As I said before I have never been to Wyndham Indianapolis West, this is the 1st IFC held at this hotel. They may have posted their schedule https://indyfurcon2023.sched.com/ and I know roughly what I am going to do “Yeah Fursuit Parade!!!”
But I can’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed by all of this, there are just too many knowns. Ok I also feel a bit nervous. My 1st fur con outside of MFF, ones I hope to continue to do. Going to some place different every year. Why is simple, A Promise made to myself for surviving the pandemic, and as long as I can afford to go why not. Although I know it will take me months to pay this off.
I am not wealthy, just your average furry trying to survive.
As weird as this sounds, over the last few years MFF seemed to lost something I really can’t describe very well. As the con got bigger and bigger, the charm seem to have diminished. Something as simple as a hug from a fursuiter in the lobby of the hotel is gone. It’s just too crowded.
Take last year when this fursuiter gave away donuts
This may not look so bad, but the rest of the floor was packed, it was ridiculous how crowded it was. No fursuit parade, con suite gone, being able to catch your breath.
Mind you I am still going to MFF this year. But things had to change for me, I use to commute, now even I got a room. Due to some advice I received, amazing I got fans every where. I get it Hotel to Dealer’s area in the next video. I need to go early like around 8AM or even earlier to get the photos/ videos I want to take. That’s when the more famous YouTubers do theirs. Crazy I know.
But like I said things have changed. I just have to see how things go, the same at IFC. If you checked out the schedule you will notice it doesn’t list what rooms the panels are scheduled for or let alone what route the fursuit parade will take. I am recording it and will post it on YT. I bought myself a tripod just for this video, or let alone when the Sponsor’s Dinner will take place… more on that later.
Both Opening and Closing Ceremonies are possible.
Beyond that it is hard to say, there will be a YouTube short on Day 1, still plan on 10 videos.
Wild Acai found furry in 2013 and was incredibly fortunate to make amazing friends like Syber Wuff of Made Fur You. In 2015 she brought Wild Acai to life.
In a life-changing turn of events, Wild Acai discovered a huge interest in creating fursuits of his own and started Waggery Costumes in 2018. With over 20 years of previous business experience, this has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things he’s ever done.
A warm welcome to one of our talented Guests of Honor for FurFest 2023, Jackaloo! Best known for The Interns comic series, Jack has been providing content for the fandom for over ten years.
