Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary is home to over 400 African Sulcata Tortoises. OMG Why so many?! These animals are the most dropped off species at the sanctuary. Living over 100 years and getting over 150 pounds makes them a hard pet for most people to have. These animals are surrendered, abandoned and sometimes escape from people’s homes.
We have quite a few shelters built on the property but many of them are quite old and need to be completely rebuilt. These animals need to be heated throughout the winter and new shelters will allow us to ensure they all have a warm home to go into!

Description: Arden and Cal are roommates (and sometimes a little bit more when Cal’s pent up), and this week they’ll have a visitor: Cal’s massive bear of a father, Sid. But when Cal gets called into work, Ardent and Sid are left alone in the apartment with nothing to do.
