Today is finally the day I start my 43 hour trip to LA. That is essentially 2 nights on the same train. At journeys end I am going to meet my cousins. All the while keeping them and those who are close to me, a clue what is happening, this is going to be tricky. For those who never taken a long haul journey on a train. It means there will be hours where I will have zero service on my cellphone. I brought books, movies and games to keep myself busy.
I kind of know what to expect, due to a journey to Washington DC a few years ago. The Dining Car will be a new experience.
In addition I put my Host app on my phone. What I will be posting and when is still a good question. So there will be times you check and nothing new. I have to wait to I get a signal. Saturday I hope I can use my laptop to give you a better idea what is going on… but we have to see.
All I can say what happens, I will be reporting. I know I leave a lot of questions. They are the same ones I am asking myself over and over again.
But please keep in mind this is the very 1st time we ever met, and I will admit I am nervous because of this.
