The Reality of Hope is a documentary about the unexpected ways in which friendship and community in virtual reality can change lives.

This extraordinary true story, co-produced by our very own MaxFilmsVR , tells of a lifesaving kidney transplant between Furality team members Hiyu and PhotographOtter , and was selected by Sundance for their 2025 Film Festival!! 🎥

It’s an understatement to say we’re excited to see such a powerful example of what many of us have experienced personally: the strength of bonds formed in furry and VR communities that are anything but virtual. You can watch Hiyu and PhotographOtter’s journey later in the year on Documentary+. We can’t wait to see it! 💙
