Genus issue 30 Review and Download

The Ups & Downs…part 2 by James Hardiman

A continuing of a great series, Which by the way was a published stand alone adult furry comic. Looks at why some species shouldn’t crossbreed. It can be too dangerous for the male. Like usual the last one will bring you the biggest laugh when this anthro cat tries and mate with a kangaroo and he goes flying through a wall.

Collars & Cuffs by Robin Lane, Dennis Clark & Joyceanna Brock

First of all one of the worst comics I ever seen. It can be narrowed down to this “Date from Hell”. Then later there is a couple of panels showing lesbian sex.

Urotsukidoggy by Brian Sutten, Show Howell & Darin Brown

From the very 1st panel you will think this is a take off of Alien, which it is kinda eventually the intrepid space explorer is captured by this tentacled alien who eventually swallows her whole. After she is spit out, we come to find out this was some sort of sexual roleplay and why I HATE anything to do with tentacle sex.

Crossed Wires part 2 by Paul Kidd & Kurt Wilcken

This woman is driving home from work when she decides to masterbate in the car as she is stuck in traffic as she talks to a friend as she does this. We only know later that more than just her friend heard about this. Only later we see her on a date with her boyfriend. All I can say is unique.

Genus issue 29 Review and Download

In this utter delightful comic features both a male fox and female bat who meet in the woods. They hit it off well enough to have sex. Here they are knotted together when a hunter shows up and take aim on them. Chaos soon beings with them trying to feel for their lives and them still knotted. Eventually they make there escape, with the fox enjoying the fruits of their labor…namely the cherries.

Public Display by James Hardiman

A rather interesting tale where in James Hardiman takes his trio of female shunks to a department store. Where one has fun showing off before a in store camera. Before Mr. Hardiman takes her by the ear.

Mink: Daddio by Kjartan Arnorsson

Finally we learn of Mink’s Dark Origin, that she is a product of genetic engineering by a mad scientist. After running into a male produced by the same scientist whom she meets and battles. It seemly ends in a draw as we learn of more slaves. Really quite good.

Genus Male 1 Review and Download

My Hustler by Darin McGrain

I found a rather hard piece to follow about a group of friends wondering about hookers. To one of their number eventually admitting they are a gigalo. Then gay sex starts soon after. Only to then the next day when the gigalo mentions as he lays there on the sofa that it would be nice to see someone do some cleaning in the nude.

A Bet’s a Bet by Richard Moore

I call this what this is a group of football players make a bet with one another and because one lost. It’s gay sex time!!! It’s an okay piece at best.

The Stand-Ins by Mui & Darin McGrain

A gay sex scene in a film these stand ins which are suppose to be apart of, leads to nervous chatter. But when it’s time they do it for real. Okay

P.B. and Jay by Darin McGrain

Meaningless chatter leads to gay sex, no imagination what so ever.

Where does Fred Patten Stand in the Midst of All of This Controversy

Since Fred Patten is one of the most respected furries there is and that his articles appear both on Flayrah and Dogpatch Press I decided to ask him his view, I also asked would he ever consider moving his articles here.

Fred Patten’s reply.

Frankly, most of my connections have been with Dogpatch Press and Flayrah. Both sites have big backlogs of my articles and reviews. It looks to me that both sites started out by just reporting the news that RMFC was cancelled, and then providing forums to let the fans argue over whose fault it was.

I had my own trouble with Flayrah over GreenReaper and crossaffliction never answering my e-mails during the months when Flayrah wasn’t posting anything, which is why I started contributing to Dogpatch Press instead. Today I’m contributing to both of them. I am not on Twitter, FaceBook, FurAffinity, or any of the other social sites that most of the fans who are arguing whether the Furry Raiders are neo-Nazis or not are arguing on; so it’s all second-, third-, and fourth-hand to me.

Something that I’ve not seen is just what Deo said besides her “Gonna punch some Nazis” comment. It’s said that she reported the threats about bringing guns to the RMFC committee. Exactly what did Deo say? Nobody has said. Did Deo say anything else to anybody else? Some fans say that Deo has been spreading hate and lies, but she denies it and I haven’t seen any real evidence of it. This is a big reason why so far I’m still favoring Dogpatch Press and Flayrah.

Talking about lies, I’m 76 years old. That’s not old enough that I was in World War II myself, but I remember all the “the Japs were going to invade America, and here’s proof!” claims that turned out to be deliberate lies and propaganda.

Since I don’t have any first-hand knowledge about this whole mess, I’m staying out of it. I don’t want to withdraw all that I have in Dogpatch Press’ & Flayrah’s backlogs from them. Sorry.

Best wishes;

Fred

Anime Review: Castle in The Sky

Quoting Wikipedia

An airship carrying Sheeta, a girl who has been abducted by government agent Muska, is attacked by Captain Dola and her air pirate sons who are in search of Sheeta’s crystal amulet. In the resulting struggle, Sheeta falls from the airship but her descent is slowed by the amulet which starts glowing. She safely lands in a small mining town where she is discovered by a boy named Pazu, who takes her into his home to recover. Pazu tells her of a mysterious floating island named Laputa which is visible in a picture taken by his father. Later, they are pursued by Dola’s pirates, and then by Muska’s soldiers. Eventually, the two fall into an abandoned mine, where they encounter the local eccentric Uncle Pomme, who informs them that Sheeta’s amulet is made of ‘volucite’ crystal (‘Aetherium’ in the American release), a material used to keep Laputa and the other flying cities aloft.

This is how it begins…

Hayao Miyazaki brings you on a wild you plan see don’t want to end. Even once you finally get to Laptuta you wonder what kind of civilization that spawned an incredible mixture of science and magic.

This film draws you in and you wish this wild ride never ends.

I swear the more times I see this film the more the stuff I never known before. An absolutely incredible film.
