Good Furry Vs. Evil Mayor: Book Banning in Mississippi

Evil Mayor on the left… Booo!!! Hiss

What is happening is this:

Soatok, who asked to be identified by his online handle, was referring to the news that Mayor Gene McGee of Ridgeland, Mississippi, was withholding $110,000 of funding from the Madison Country Library System. Library officials told the Mississippi Free Press that the mayor had demanded they purge their collection of LGBTQ+ books, which he called “homosexual materials,” before his office would release the money.

Which make Mayor Gene McGee Evil

In an attempt to assist this Mississippi library, the furry community has launched a fundraising frenzy over the past few days, to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. While book banning, or attempted book banning, has recently become something of a theme around the country, this small-town mayor seems to have inadvertently picked a fight with the wrong crowd.

This is 100% discrimination even speaking as a straight furry, this is wrong. WE got the save those books. What is going to happen next? The mayor making being apart of the LGBTQ community illegal like it was back in the 1950s. Send people to prison for the crime of love. I say NO!!! We MUST stand up against hate in any form

But… I personally would not be surprised that Mayor McGee has a white hood in his closet. I advise those of color be careful in HIS TOWN Ridgeland, MS

Awoo! by AC Stuart Volume 1 Book Review

Let’s start out with something that really did happened. When I brought the package home containing this book. The very first thing I did after opening it, was read half the book. This is despite me watching also a film before all of this.

I have always loved the Awoo! comic and it’s crazy pack of wolves, who always make me laugh. It also filled with prey that are often good friends, and when anyone tries to hunt one of them, there wallet is stolen instead. Not forgetting the squirrel who wants to join the pack. Kevin, he is apart of the pack, so is knifemouth and Jeremy who just happens to the resident werewolf, who works in an office with a werecat. Jeremy often helps opening jars.

As you can see brilliantly written, great art and a good laugh nearly every time. You can not go wrong with Awoo!. Even when you are feeling a bit down you can not help but laugh or at least a grin, Awoo! is something that is always worth checking out.

A very solid 10 out of 10

Centaurworld – Netflix- Review

As you can see from the image Centaurworld isn’t filled with your standard Centaurs. Near the end of the second season they show some. But what happened to them the series doesn’t say.

Since there are going to be spoilers you have been warned.

The main plot for season 1 that there is a war taking place between the minotaurs vs. the humans and the minotuars are winning. Lead by a creature call simply “Nowhere Man” is a creature of pure evil.

The bulk of the 1st season is a horse from the human world comes to Centaurworld to look for a key to the Rift which separates the 2 dimensions. They actually do say dimensions not other worlds.

Only to come face to face with Nowhere Man in the final episodes of the 1st season.

The first season is fun and a bit creepy as we come across super fans of the group seeking the key. Who saw all of what happen, although I am not quite sure how.

With Nowhere Man escaping the Rift the entire population of Centaurworld has to go to war against this thing or they are just as doomed as the human world

I found the 2nd season frustrating as no one would cooperate until near the end.

Without going in to the final battle, and who is the secret identity of both The General and this Nowhere Man. The final episode of season 2 is quite excellent.

Although the series overall is quite entertaining. I found a few episodes of season 2 unwatchable… I thought them dumb. But that final episode more than made up for it.

Overall I give the series a 6 out of 10, with this to add. I believe it’s something either your going to get into or not. Just check out the very 1st episode and you will know.
