Everyone give a warm welcome to Avian Invasion as our second GOH for #FurryMigration 2024!
Previously a special guest, Avian Invasion is a talented DJ and producer coming back to FM to spread some funky beats and positive vibes!
MN Furs and Furry Migration is doing something that is so completely different than what we are use to it deserves special notice. They opened up FM Con Chair Nominations to the public. All you have to do is login and post your choice.
The one thing you notice if you have been to a lot of fur cons. The new one either served before, is on the board or is a member of the staff. Seriously it is very rare when they get someone from outside.
My job is to report not make any influence on choices, but now would be. But your choice has to actually live around Minneapolis / St. Paul area so I am definitively not a good pick.
I have been aware for quite a few years that many furries often take Amtrak to various conventions. This is no secret, there have been YT vids on the subjects.
But recent events namely Amtrak’s New Route The Borealis, could directly effect 2 fur cons. 1 I will be attending Furry Migration and the other Aquatifur. That last one might not be familiar, Aquatifur takes place in Wisconsin Dells, and frankly that train stop isn’t that far from the hotel.
The Borealis which now runs daily from Chicago to St. Paul, stops at Wisconsin Dells.
You might see where I am going with this, with it now being easier to get to said convention how will this effect their numbers. Some might quote Fur Squared which recently moved from Brookfield to Milwaukee. There numbers only increased by 300. But keep in mind this move surprised a lot of furries. More than even I expected, but I think the true test for some will be next year. But this year and it still being months away, both Furry Migration and Aquatifur could be effected by this new route.
Which I will be on, and will be reporting, and if I see a fursuiter on a train O M G.
I know that is a lot of wishful thinking. But I will be there at least at 1.

Well I admit plans had to be changed because of things. I know I said originally I was going to Mephit Fur Meet. But things did not work out on my end. So that left me scrambling.
But then like Karma stepped in and things made it possible to go to Furry Migration. Yes I am going, everything is set. Room at the main hotel, badge purchased and travel plans set.
This entire journey will be filled with FIRSTS. This will be my very 1st time in Minneapolis as well as Minnesota. If that wasn’t enough Amtrak started a new route from Chicago to St. Paul called the Borealis. Cafe, wifi for the entire trip and a new train.
And there is something I have been debating ever since I discovered it. Just 8 blocks from the hotel is the area’s light rail that runs directly to Union Station for now get this $2. Still hadn’t decided on taking it. Maybe for my return journey, but will take an Uber once I get there.
So there will be a lot to talk about.
Did you know that Furry Migration is on 3 different floors of the hotel? Thank goodness they have escalators… which could make for some interesting videos. Speaking of which I plan on making 10 videos, like I did during Indy Fur Con. If you happened to look at the video count? OMFG one video alone has 20k views. That is going to happen, possibly more. But I have to wait to their schedule is posted so I can figure things out.
But I will be reporting on things, everything from my trip, the hotel, the works.
This is going to be a wild ride.
UPDATE
Here is something that might surprise Furry Migration regulars. Got from a staff member that the convention is moving to the 1st and 2nd floors of the hotel. Meaning more space and a different layout. Also there will be an Accessibility table where a volunteer will hand out Blue Stickers. So it is like IFC no one at this point is quite sure where everything is going to be.
