IFC Final Day

To be honest, the first thing i noticed was the drop in the crowd. I really can’t say by how many. But i can say people didn’t start dragging themselves out of bed until at least 11am. Also a steady stream of con goers checking out all day.

Me, i am tired, more a lack of my normal diet. And lack of good night sleep

I think i will just stick with the biggest events of the day. Fursuit games were fun. For all, suiter or not.

The only issue i saw was how they concluded. Limbo contest, down to the last 7. They just stopped.

Closing Ceremony was great. The Charity got $10,905.

My own estimates of the crowd were far off the final number.

2773

I think it looked larger due to the cons layout.

2 final things.

It seems Hyatt shares the building with PNC Bank. Their 1st floor had their food court. So, technically, the Hyatt site was correct.

Con Tour videos. Won’t be happening.ย  I accidentally came across something that had planned their own. They gave up. From the outside, everything looks the same.

IFC Day 3: My Day Good and Bad

Yesterday was the day of my 3DS Streetpass panel. Frankly, only getting 4 hits during the entire con I was more than a bit anxious.

I was told i could enter the room and set up early. Then, as i did one by one, they came.

I think we topped around 40. Then the number of hits exploded.

I can’t tell you the number i missed.

Now for the frustrating bit. The escalator between the 2nd and 3rd floors stopped working. Plus the crowd. All i wanted to do is drop off my gaming gear in my room then join a comedy panel.

Never made it. I am sorry to say it took nearly an hour to run a simple trip.

Which cascaded in to me missing 2 game show panels. All because there was no place to sit down.

That was also the reason why i missed the 7pm panel i wanted to see. The room was packed.

Did find something to do.

Hopefully today is simpler.ย  Did managed to sleep 8 hours. Shows you i was exhausted

Last Day.

Do have a few things planned.

Yesterday during the Sponsor Dinner

A memer of the staff admitted it was a record GULP attendance. Closing will give us the exact number.

IFC Day 2: Fresh Start

The one thing I had to do was get my badge and con swag. Did that the very 1st thing. Then on what they need to hand me for my panel.

An envelope with 3 sheets of paper. But I was given a chance to explain my panel.

Speaking of which.ย  Streetpass hits have be spare only had 4 so far as of this post.

I think my biggest highlight was the GOH Panel.

And Floor Wars

Had a typical time. Missed some planels. But all was good

My Panel is today fingers crossed

Restaurant Reviews: Lincoln Square (Pancake House)

I have heard a lot of great things about Lincoln Square all the way in Chicago.

Located at 150 West Market Street.ย  It does not disappoint.

Fresh Ingredients and staying away from mixes. Makes Lincoln Square a refreshing delight. Reasonable prices and incredible food. Makes this place a must visit, time and time again.

IFC Day 1: The Endurance Test.

My day started at my apt and ended in a room bigger than my living room.

After not getting much sleep. Greyhound

The bus was nice. I almost feel guilty complaining that when we made a stop at the train station. It took nearly an hour to load a wheelchair passenger.

So after nearly 5 hours. We made it to Indianapolis. Only to discover not only the heatwave. But my simple walk to the hotel was blocked by construction. Had no choice took an Uber.

Literally nothing prepared to what i faced next. The crowds of which since my last MFF.

There really wasn’t much to talk about. Other than i sat behind Artimus Wishfoot during the Opening Ceremony

The Badge and Why I Don’t Have One Currently
Reg opened very slow. I heard instead of opening at 9pm it opening at 10. The reason for the balcony photo. The reg line went all the way around the 3rd floor.

By now tiredness and lack of sleep was getting me so I went back to my room.

And slept.

1st thing on my list today is get my badge.

Restaurant Review: Steak N Shake

I went to the Steak N Shake at 101 W Maryland and it was a delightful surprise. Everything was great and I paid less than what the same meal would of cost at McDonald’s

Indy Fur Con Coverage and Upcoming Changes

I have been running my site for quite a few years and seen the numbers. A good number of you like the way I cover cons. I really hope that expanding on things like Restaurant reviews to start, and switching over to “Shorts”. For some panels, is something that might be of interest. After the recent number drop on standard videos. Speaking of which I invested in a better camera for my videos. To give better coverage of dance events and my own curiosity of changes IFC made to The Fursuit Games Will complement one another. That and the fact I won’t be covering some events. Like book discussion and the like

I will not forget that a lot of you can’t make it for various reasons. I hope to make you feel to some degree that you felt you knew what it was like.

I was hoping to cover some of the restaurants at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. I’ll be doing 2 as the rest were a tad expensive. Thankfully the neighborhood that surrounds the con has plenty of terrific places to eat.

I will be brutally honest at what happened at my 3DS panel. Frankly I am unsure how many will show up. Of course that is what I said about my Fur Squared panel and we got 30.

Speaking of which I still have not heard from IFC about my panel Officially. How this is handled once I get there will be interesting. You know they have a Panelist meet scheduled for both Friday and Saturday. Will let you know how that goes

IFC 2026 Waiting Sucks

All I know that sometime this month IFC is going to open it’s hotel block, then I get my bus tickets and all is set for IFC 2026…. Or is it?

I have been checking out Google Maps a lot lately… Not to check locations, but restaurants.

I know the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis has a very expensive restaurant as well as 1 or 2 others. I am talking about up to $100 per plate at the most expensive 1.

Lets take Tony’s of Indianapolis, it’s listed as $100+, it’s directly across the street

I don’t know about you, I have NEVER spent that much for a meal in my life.

I am not saying all places are that expensive, the Embassy across the street. There menu isn’t terrible. A tad bit more than I like paying. But in a pinch. There are a few other options in the neighborhood. I would not say it is lacking in restaurants and you can grab a pizza slice at more than one.

Then there is the Subways option, I am still am unsure where it is exactly. Just in the same complex as far as I know.

I swear I am going to be the only furry reporter/ restaurant critic at IFC

Did find a rather reasonably priced Mexican place surprisingly near the hotel.

Got to keep my options open
