After 24 hours I am back, and it seems everything isn’t as it was. It actually caused some people who are directly involved in this SOPA mess to make some very public statements. First and foremost
was what Pres. Obama said, and that was if the SOPA Bill makes it’s way to his desk he would Veto it, and not for the reasons you think. He deems the bill unenforceable, and so does many Internet
Consultants even those who work for the companies pushing the SOPA Bill. One who works for Disney was on ABC Wednesday morning said as much. It seems You Tube gets 24 hours of new videos every minute of every day. This consultant even went so far as to say, no one ever could unless you had a staff equal to the population of the state of Virginia, to on check everything before it was posted. Then there is what this IT posted to the Facebook page of one of my local TV stations. If say a site like You Tube got shut down even by court order because something illegal was posted there. All it would take is about 3 hours to change it’s IP address and it would be up again. I’ll even go one better, these days of the Internet it would not much to move a site over to a overseas server and out of jurisdiction of US authority.
This should not surprise you but as it seems most of your elected officials don’t even read what they have to vote on, before they vote for it. They mainly go what others have to say, and what they have been reading in the form of emails. Manly Senators are now backing out of support of the SOPA Bill. Including it’s main supporter in the Senate Sen. Durbin. It seems according to one report I heard yesterday, it does not even have enough support to even come up for a vote.
