Up until the recent upgrade it was rather simple tp post anything on So Furry. But ever since the upgrade, you can’t use Firefox or you will get an error message. I only discovered how to do it by accident. It seems I had set my Chrome Browser to block all 3rd party cookies. Which is usually the smart thing to do as most malware and spyware are 3rd party cookies. I had to allow it to set such cookies to post my stories there.
So Furry’s response:
Ok first of all: If you use IE8 then the age rating selection doesn’t work – known issue. Will be fixed.
Copy paste using the mouse in Firefox: This is a security feature of Firefox. We can not fix that. Use Ctrl-V, it works fine. Don’t use the mouse.
CSRF Errors: You HAVE to enable cookies. No way around it. This is a security feature that protects your account. Remember when someone posted a comment on FA that made everyone watch him? That’s what this is preventing from happening.
Bottom line: We will fix the age selection for IE. The other things we will not, and can not fix, because they are not by definition broken. Enable cookies and use Ctrl-V to paste a story. Also, I strongly urge you to use Firefox, Chrome or Safari, not IE or Opera as these browsers are simply not up to today’s standards. Chrome and Firefox are free, fully featured and well maintained.
