We all woke up this morning a little sadder upon hearing the news that Robin Williams died yesterday of an apparent suicide. I knew of his battles with drugs and alcohol over the past years, but the depression he also battled was a great shock, as I guess it was to most of us. I can only guess behind all that humor, was a sad man crying out for help.

A point some of us get to in our lives, like I did last year when my brother died. Any long time fan of this blog knew it suffered from lack of new material. My numbers took a dive as did my will to live. There actually was a point in my life I didn’t know if I would see the next sunrise. But some how, some way I found the will to live and go on with my life.

I know I could go on about how I came back, but really this is about those like Robin Williams on the brink. All I can say is if you know someone who you know acts brave or snapping back with jokes all of the time. Ask them in a quiet moment ‘Would you like to talk’. For you might become your own hero and save a life.
