With roughly 1 and 1/2 weeks to go before Midwest Furfest starts, I figure I tell you what it’s like for me who is about to go to his 2nd fur con ever, also one who was just too too at his first, meaning overwhelmed that I really couldn’t get in to it the first time around. Also I want to make it clear the only reason I can only be there one day is because too many reasons I can’t get in to here, lets just call it personal and business reasons. If I can I would like to go more than just 1 day, but only time will tell, and I know I am not the only local who is in this position. There are 3 from my furmeet alone. who can only go 1 day, and on top of that I have to take public transportation, thankfully Chicago does have a great system.
So what am I doing differently this year than the one before. I been looking at their schedule…a lot. Meaning I am planning on what to do this time around, but still my 3 must sees are still are the fursuit parade, Floor Wars, and the variety show. I also plan on checking out different areas including the con suite, this is where the con offers free snacks and soda. Given it takes place in an expensive hotel that is a huge plus. I am going to get my fursona finally done. Put me in the minority I been in the fandom for a really long time and really never thought in detail about my fursona until my furmeet was coming up with an idea for a comic book. I think you all will be impressed….I hope.
To how exactly do I feel, more exited this year than last. I really want to go and I don’t want to miss anything if I can.
