Commercial Activity @ Fur Cons

The following is from Nordic Fuzz Con but it applies to all cons everywhere unless otherwise stated in their Code of Conduct

  • The right to engage in commercial activity in the Dealers’ Den and Artists’ Alley is controlled by the Dealers’ Den department. The Dealers’ Den department has the final say on the rules for the Dealers’ Den and Artists’ Alley.
  • Security has the final say on all other commercial activity within the the convention space*. Any commercial activity outside the Dealers’ Den and Artists’ Alley requires written approval no later than one (1) month prior to the convention ([email protected]). This also includes commercial fursuit photography or videography.
  • All commercial transactions are the sole responsibility of the seller and the buyer. It is the responsibility of the seller to comply with applicable fiscal and sales legislation.
  • Under no circumstance shall NordicFuzzCon accept any liability arising from litigation pertaining to those transactions.
  • Every dealer in the Dealers’ Den and/or tableholder in the Artists’ Alley must be an attendee (i.e., have registered for the full main convention period and paid the full amount prior to the convention).
  • The Dealers’ Den Department reserves the right to restrict or forbid the sale of any items and for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Illegal items according to Swedish Law
    • Immoral items
    • Adult items
    • Items not directly related to the furry fandom
    • Products derived from animals
  • Any special requests should be sent to the head of the relevant department no later than one (1) month prior to the convention, and may be either approved or denied.
  • Engaging in commercial activity at NFC is a privilege and can be withdrawn at any time for any reason.

I am not trying to tell you a way around these rules. Just to point out the facts, the reason cons put such restrictions in place is because of taxes must be paid when a purchase is made while at both the convention space, and hotel. But before this happens forms must be signed.

So that even means standing outside the con space and doing a deal could still get you banned.

But on the other hand being away from both say more than a block away… you should not have an issue
