Technically they started to reveal them yesterday. But since this year’s theme is “The Great FurFest Heist”. Why not reveal the gang of thieves.
So Far

The following is what MFF posted
There you are, I knew you’d show up! The name’s Rosemont, and I’m heading up this little operation. Get yourself settled in and meet the rest of the crew. What’s your role again? Driver? Codebreaker? Spy? Drop it in the comments, and let’s get this heist rolling! #FurFest
They are asking on all social media platforms

Oscar’s the name, master of disguise is my game. As a costume connoisseur, I can fool anyone, anywhere…but I want to see what you’ve got! Post your fursuits or disguises for the big score in the comments!
Will post more when MFF adds to the line up
Call it what it is same hotel, same internet issues. I won’t be bringing my laptop.
I will be reporting from my phone and try and give you the best coverage I can. It may not be as it happens, and that is due to a very common issue. Lack of cellphone signal. I know Rosemont and the cell companies usually have a BOOSTER in the Service Parking Lot of the Hyatt. But 15,000+ all trying to use their phones.
What signal
I know I usually skip social media during cons. That is usually because I am having fun, and the signal issue.
But I think the biggest potential issue at MFF will be the Dealers Area on Friday. In case you haven’t heard MFF is going to try Timed Tickets. Which won’t apply to Sponsors. I know other cons do this but it’s one of the cases where someone didn’t get the memo.
You know there are still people waiting to get a Confirmation Number for their room.
Different Layout, a lot of walking but I am so happy they gave the Artists a BIGGER area. You would not believe the number who rely on MFF as an income for the entire year. Possible confusion, I know a lot will assume it’s in it’s normal area. Which is being used for panels this year.
Streetpass could be big this year, it certainly was at Furry Migration. I know people have been buying 3DS’s just to do Streetpass. We will see how that turns out.
As for attendance? All I will say it will break their old record. By how much… that’s hard to say right now. MFF is being very quiet on the number of Pre Reg sold. But both Sponsor levels were Sold Out during Pre Reg. Not to forget every hotel in the entire area has attendees. Some are staying in hotels an hour from the con. That’s a new one for me.
MFF is what it is an event, like the Anime cons the same places hold. It stopped being a con last year. But that is my own opinion and I will be there.
Hope to meet up with 2… fingers crossed.
Coverage starts Friday
Please read carefully
After many years of lining up and waiting in a long line to get into the Dealers Den each Friday at opening, this year brings big changes!
If you’ve attended Biggest Little FurCon in recent years, you may be familiar with the timed entry system implemented for the initial hours of the first day. This system effectively managed the influx of attendees, creating a more orderly and predictable entry process. FurFest will be adopting this system for the first time this year.
A timed entry system offers several advantages, enhancing the overall convention experience for attendees. By eliminating the need to arrive hours early to secure a spot in line, attendees can allocate more time to explore other convention activities, maximizing their enjoyment. Additionally, timed entry helps to mitigate overcrowding within the Dealers Den throughout the day, creating a more comfortable and enjoyable shopping environment for all. As the convention continues to grow in popularity, timed entry becomes increasingly crucial to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, particularly considering the limited space available within the venue. It’s important to note that timed entry is only requiredfor the first four hours of the Dealers Den, from 1 PM to 5 PM.
I don’t want to knock MFF for trying to make things easier. The 1st Day around Dealers can be a bit of a nightmare. One year the line began on the escalator. If there is any confusion which is bound to happen. It will only benefit The Sponsors who can ignore all of this, and how this is handled. I will be reporting on.
I encourage you to check it out before reading the following
I was disappointed, to me it’s the weakest schedule MFF had for literally years.
Frankly there are more meets scheduled than any excitement.
On a personal note a friend and I have a disagreement over to see the Variety Show or Floor Wars. We don’t have that problem this year as they are going to held on different days… and frankly it’s the only good thing being held on both days in the evening
Even the usual things I expect aren’t there, few comedy shows, no charades. Although they are doing fursuit games twice, there isn’t much happening. I don’t know if it was lack of submissions… but still it is very disappointing.
I still will be going, but MFF makes me look even more forward to my trip in February to Fur Squared even more so.

I am positive I don’t have to go over everything Uncle Kage has said, except 1. Re title: I am very well aware that for the most part 3 fur cons are getting the same numbers as local anime cons. Around 17,000, so what is going to happen. Really it doesn’t take a someone rambling on that one day Comic Con in San Diego and a fur con somewhere are getting the same numbers. The one thing everyone is well aware of even at Furry Migration. “When Does a Fur Con Get Too Big?”
The fault doesn’t lay at the foot of the fur cons. They are just an event, that we plan for. The same can be said of both a friend and myself. We got the days off, the room, even our badges. Mind you my roommate is the very same one that got me to go to my very 1st fur con which just happens to be MFF.
Even they are talking about how MFF isn’t as fun as it use to be.
Sadly even I agree, I really enjoy going to these little cons more than I do MFF.
The reasons why is simple MFF is just TOOO CROWDED
My friend has openly talked about shifting to another con.
Meeting up with friends and showing off your fursuit. Has left the hotel, mainly those take place in less crowded areas of the convention center and outside, and this is despite on average we get 2 days of rain during the con.
I know MFF is MFF and is the ultimate goal for some. But maybe it’s time if you had it with the crowd, and that unfair hotel lottery. Maybe it’s time to shift to another fur con.
Frankly as I sit here and type this I am unsure what I will personally do about MFF in the upcoming years.

Editor’s Note
As I said back in 2022 I once owned 2 dogs commonly called Pitbulls, at separate times of course. They were very sweet dogs, and the breed holds a special place in my heart. I will be supporting Street Dog Coalition @ MFF and when that final number is announced some of that cash was mine.
