Began with littlemiafox, who made 4,120 wooden ‘flea’ clips with hand-drawn designs, started the gag at Midwest FurFest. It also has apparently spread to other conventions including IFC. Where in someone would clip a wooden clothespin to someone’s fursuit without their knowledge or consent. I only heard about this at my Final Day of IFC. When someone with a bag of clothespins was detained by security. They were given a choice give up the clothespins or get booted from the convention. They gave up the clothespins.
I know some treat this as a joke. But those fursuits are expensive, and no one wants to see them damaged. You don’t place anything on someone’s fursuit without asking first.
