The Biggest Non News Story of The Week—Furries and the FBI

You might have seen the post on social media or the subject on some sites of how the FBI did not investigate the Furry Fandom, and how someone found proof.

I kid you not that is longer than the actual post. But everyone is making this out to be a huge deal, me I just don’t get it. Why just ask yourself this why would the FBI conduct a criminal investigation of the Furry Fandom?

You can’t come up with an answer, can you? Neither can I but I know something that the other sites have either missed or just plain forgot. Remember that gas attack on MFF a few years back, I learned from one of the staff and I won’t say whom for. Told me that the FBI did check out the fandom, but in order to see if we had any enemies. They wore actual fursuits to some conventions bought furry items in the dealer’s area at certain cons and online.

There was no actual investigation they wanted to check out the fandom in general and see if some of the rumors were true.

Amazing no one even talks about that except for little me.

Overall it is a great site, it tells you not only a huge number of fursuit makers, reviews on some, links to their own sites and whether they are currently taking commissions.

Which focus more on how to choose the right fursuit, with reviews and photos of completed works.

Both sites are excellent and get my highest recommendation.

Review and Download of Roxikat Myah by John Barrett

I have to admit readers this is being posted under unusual circumstances and for reasons you will soon discover and why I am making this statement.

This whole thing began simply because a reader like you was looking for a copy of “The Care and Feeding of Your Roxikat by John Barrett”. It turned out to be a portfolio but except for the cover posted below that is all I found.

It was through the Greymuzzle group on Facebook that I was able to find the artist and someone with a copy. The one with a copy would not share if anything they ignored the messages I sent them and the same with the artist John Barrett. Who seemly only reply to both my request and permission to post Roxikat Myah. But it seems this John Barret wanted nothing to with his earlier work. I kid you not that is what they really posted. So I gave John Barrett a deadline which is today Aug 1, 2018, that if I did not hear back I would post it and here it is.

Now for Roxikat Myah, it starts out when the artist wanted to have their own way with the character they created then it slowly turns into a Star Trek-like story. I know it is cut short, but this was all that was available.

Although not the greatest furry comic I ever read, although not the worse either.

Really the only thing this issue has is NSFW furry art for the most part. The art ranges from good to average, but there are exceptions. Namely the art of Taral Wayne, Joe Rosales and Jim Hardiman which are excellent.

Gary The Rat

Gary The Rat was an animated series that aired on Spike TV back in 2003

according to Wikipedia

Gary “The Rat” Andrews is a defense attorney who awakens one morning to find that he has somehow transformed into a giant bipedal rat. Gary struggles to deal with his transformation and hold on to his status as a high-paid if mercenary, lawyer. Until Gary figures out why he’s like this he has decided to try and function the best he can in a “human” world. Outraged at his new appearance, Truman, a tenant in Gary’s expensive apartment building, has hired exterminator Johnny Bugz to get rid of Gary for good.

Grammer said of the character, “Gary the Rat has been compromising every scruple to the point that he compromises his humanity.”

I personally think the series has gotten better as time passes. Maybe back in 2003, the idea of an anthropomorphic rat was against the norm of the day. But today with the RISE of Furries and the more acceptance in society. Attitudes have greatly changed.

I think the biggest one as Gary The Rat was supposed to be adults only. But as time passes I think even a young teen would totally think this series pokes fun at everyone we seemly hate. Overbearing landlords, people who think they know better than you, bosses and of course lawyers. People still talk about that scene in Jurassic Park where that lawyer gets eaten to this day and that film came out in 1993. So why not a lawyer turned into a rat?

Gary the Rat is just plain funny, the quasi-relationship between Bugz and his cat Boots. Bugz is out to kill Gary, hired by his landlord to get rid of the rodent problem. But always seemly unwittingly helping Gary with his cases.

What you get is 2 stories Tales of Perrisa: Hrathlismor’s Tower and A Forest Tale both are a little above average. As for the rest of the issue other than news of what it’s publisher, Silverfox Publications are up to the rest of the issue is art. Like most NSFW furry art of 1997, it ranges in quality fair to average in my opinion.

Overall the issue is quite unique and I have to give it 8/ 10
