The basic plot of Dune could be shorten to Noble family movies to desert planet to mine “Spice”. Only to get double crossed by their Emperor and wiped out save for 2. If you want spoilers there it is, but if you are curious why you might see this film. Tons of action, many, many die, epic as there is no other word for it.
I know that there are more complete reviews that go into detail.
But I will give you one thing they don’t say. That this is the best version of Dune I have ever seen, and if you like “EPIC” tales you should really check it out.
